The SKM ball is an annual affair. The company consults on major infrastructure projects around the world and their Melbourne office hosts an annual staff ball with 600 plus guests. They wanted photos to remember the night but didn't want the photography to impact on their fun. We used two photographers so we could avoid periods when the guests were eating (nothing worse than being photographed with a mouthful of food) and we got plenty of table and dancefloor shots. There was also a steady stream to our mini studio set-up where we got some nice portraits.
 We designed a website themed to suit the event and posted almost 600 images the following morning. We delivered photo orders direct to the company offices for a couple of weeks and waived the pack and post fee. The website was very popular with some 1600 unique visits in the six months after the event.
The reaction: "The photos are great, everyone is talking about them - thank you very much for all the effort put into the website and the night. These are the best photos, and so many to choose from. Everyone loves the idea of the website" and
"The photos for our function were much better organised than previous years where you always feel pressured at the end of the night to purchase the photos, and have to get through 600 other people to find yours, and after a few drinks that's not much fun. This also allowed other family members to have a look and maybe order. Great website and service."
In 2007, the ball patronage increased from around 600 to over 800 and Photoeventz was there again to get some great photos. Thanks for inviting us back.
The Mortgage Industry Association hosts an annual charity golf day and members come from far and wide to enjoy the sport and catch up with their colleagues. Sponsors are an important part of the event and they are acknowledged with signage on the tees.
We photographed some of the action during the day, and the dinner and charity auction that followed. The images and sponsor logos were posted on the website that night. "It's a great way to acknowledge the supporters of the event and ensure that the sponsors get plenty of exposure." Some 200 plus unique visits to the website in the month following the event.
And we were there again in 2007
 The Pharmore Pharmacy Group rewards its employees with a grand night out each year. It's an opportunity to present service and education course certificates and for the staff from the various pharmacies around Melbourne to meet up.
In 2006 the night was staged as a Hollywood spectacular with the service awards in the form of "Oscar" statues. The "Golden Boys" were in attendance to add to the fun. We used two photographers for the night with plenty of table and dancefloor shots and good coverage of each presentation (one photo when receiving the award and another with the Golden Boys). Our mini studio was also in great demand throughout the night. "It's great that we can enjoy the night over and over again by logging in to the website." Over 800 unique visitors to the website in the first month following the event.

2007 was the second year in a row we were appointed official photographers to the Disability Professionals Victoria annual conference at the Melbourne Conference and Exhibition Centre.
With some 20 sessions spread over 2 days and a gala dinner our brief is to capture images of the speakers and delegates. We also provided a dvd presentation of day one images to help kick off day 2 (the photos of the gala dinner the previous night are very popular). Said the organisers "Richard Dobbie, photographer extraordinaire, has done it again and put together an amazing array of photos for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy!"
Sponsors are very important to an organisation such as this - we give the sponsors additional recognition on the website and the gold sponsor gets a special place on the image pages.
Special Touches: We produced a karaoke dvd to promote the 2008 conference so the delegates could sing along with the opera singer at the conclusion of the last session (OK, it was to an Abba tune but she sang it opera style!).
And we were at the conference again in 2008 (at Telstra Dome) and we have added a special feature to the 2008 conference web gallery - delegates can download free images. See the website.
The Australian Veterinary Association Conference was held at the Melbourne Conference Centre with some 900+ delegates including international visitors. The concurrent sessions, exhibitions, awards and social happenings were all captured by Photoeventz. Over 1400 visitors to the site in the two months following the conference.

MFAA 2007 Gala Ball
 The Melbourne Military Officers Ball was an outstanding success in 2007. Guest numbers grew from 200 in 2006 to 700 this year - we ran our mini-studio all night and also had a roving photographer to catch the action around the tables. The Swing Patrol danced up a storm, and the Army Band was superb. Great night!
