Richard Dobbie studied at the Photography Studies College and is the principal photographer at Photoeventz. Richard specialises in people photography including corporate, conferences, and weddings. Richard photographed at The National and the Union Theatre. He also processed the thousands of RAW image files produced by the photographers and built the web galleries that are loaded onto the site.
Special Note:
There is a lot of contrast between the brighter areas of the stage and the areas where there is little light. Digital cameras don't cope with contrast well, so we shot in a RAW (unprocessed) format and then processed the photos on a computer where we can add in some fill light and make other adjustments to the images. We manually processed each photo to get the quality that your performance deserves. At The National and Union Theatres, because of the distance and lighting conditions, we really pushed the limits of our equipment trying to get some close-up shots (sometimes successfully, sometimes the images are a bit soft). |
