Case Study: Sally and Harry

When Sally and Harry started to make their wedding plans, they thought they would have a low key affair. A few friends, the close relatives, a garden wedding and a nice day.

"We didn't want to make a big thing of it, but we wanted it to be nice - something special to remember" says Sally. And although the guest numbers grew a bit from their original plans, they now look back on what was a wonderful day.

The wedding was planned for 5pm on a Friday night. "Maybe a bit unusual, but I run my own business" says Harry, "And it's difficult to get away for even a short period at this time of the year." So the plan was just to have a "honeymoon" of a couple of days together and have a longer holiday later in the year.

"We both have heaps of friends, and we wanted to involve them as much as possible, but obviously there is a financial limit on how many you can invite to a wedding" says Sally. "And we also wanted to involve our overseas friends - to at least make them feel a part of the celebrations."

It was important, then, to make sure everyone knew about the pre-wedding parties (where it is reasonably appropriate that everyone pays for their own food and drink), and to provide a way to let everyone know just how the wedding plans were progressing.

"This is where our Photoeventz sharePhotos pages were just ideal. We used the sharePhotos pages to keep everyone informed about what was happening. Our friends just logged in every now and again to see what we were up to. When we had something new to add to our sharePhotos page, we just sent Photoeventz an email, and they included the new information on the page."

"We decided to have a pre-wedding shoot at our wedding venue and Photoeventz added these photos to the site as well."

The future together

"And our friends got really involved and sent us some great messages through the guestbook facility we had on the site."

And the day after the wedding, Photoeventz had all the wedding photos displayed on the site. "Even our overseas friends could see how much fun we had!"

"And the fact that friends could buy the photographs they wanted directly from the Photoeventz site saved us running around with a proof album, taking lists, collecting money."

"It was great to bump into a friend in the street and be told how much they enjoyed our wedding photos!"

"Using Photoeventz was just one thing that made our day one to remember."
